Magnetic Radiation Shielding for Space Applications

Location

Gordon Field House - GOR-0700

The Cube-Satellite (CubeSat) team at Imagine RIT will be showing off the progress made throughout the past few semesters leading up to our planned suborbital launch, which will be RITs first student made project in space next year! The team has been developing an advanced cosmic radiation shielding device that deflects radiation using a cubic magnetic array. Come visit our team to see more information on the project, some of the technology we have developed, results from radiation testing, and a live feed of the ambient radiation in the room!
