Managing Invasive Species with Community Science

Side-by-side photos of RIT students and activities with the text See How RIT is Advancing the Exceptional underneath.

Invasive species are a growing problem that wreak havoc on our ecosystems, cause extinctions, and cost billions of dollars per year to manage in the US alone. For our senior capstone project, we're working on optimizing community science programs as a way to spread awareness about invasive species and get more people involved in managing them. Our video will give you information on what invasive species are, details about a particularly harmful species you might find in New York water bodies, and an easy way you can help stop this problem!
