Safe Walk/Play Walk

In 2020, the International Plaza was opened in the El Camino neighborhood in Rochester. In support of the plaza, last year's team focused on improving traffic control and information sharing to promote a healthy community. This year's Safe Walk/Play Walk team focuses on creating a safer, more interactive environment for young children in the neighborhood, as well as finalizing/installing last year's information post design. We are manufacturing and installing unique playground instruments inspired by instruments from diverse cultures around the plaza, as well as creating game features on the information post which will be installed in late spring/early summer.
