Tissue Regeneration and Mechanobiology
This exhibit gives an overview of the research done in the Tissue Regeneration and Mechanobiology lab. Informational posters will describe how our lab studies human tissues and cells to better understand diseases and to develop new treatments. We will show how we produce patterns that are modeled after the human skin and provide information and pictures on how we use them to study cell behavior. Hands-on hydrogel bead making will help the visitor understand how we encapsulate cells to mimic their natural environment in the human intervertebral disc. Furthermore, a stretching device will show how we study the relationship between mechanical forces and cell biology
