Wheelchair-mounted easels are helpful tools to those disabled persons undergoing recreational therapies. They provide a hands-off surface for writing or painting without burdening someone who may have limited mobility or grip strength. Modern designs are large or heavy, and often times have either wheelchair type-specific fastening or some other complex attachment method. The goal of the project was to design a wooden easel that is safe to use, stable, easily transported, and most importantly, easily mounted to any wheelchair.
