Fluids are Fun - Oobleck

Exhibit Code: OUT-UQ20-D
Zone: Engineering Park
Location: Outside (OUT/000) - Unity Quad
Time: All Day
Appropriate for all ages? Yes

Description:
Oobleck is a name adopted from a Dr. Seuss story frequently used to describe a number of non-Newtonian fluids. The most commonly used substance to demonstrate the amazing properties of a non-Newtonian (shear-thickening) fluid is the suspension of corn starch in water, as can be seen at our exhibit. To demonstrate this, we have a long trough to walk on and smaller hand trough for those looking to get a little less messy.

Exhibitors:
Adam Stock, Erin Neidhart, Kate Weidmann, Long Nguyen, Tim Landschoot
