Our design team has been working with Barilla America to reduce water and energy consumption for their pasta die soaking process. Currently the system is manually operated and Barilla has had issues with excess water and energy use, and manpower availability. Our project team has designed a system to improve the efficiency of the soaking process and minimize these issues. We have designed an automated system to filter the used water and heat water through a heat exchanger system.
