Location: Campus Center (CPC/003) - Lobby
Time: All Day

Imagine a scenario where you don't know american sign language and wanted to talk to someone who's Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH). While you could type your messages on a phone, it is not sufficient to facilitate a natural mode of communication between the speakers - the modes being "speech" for the hearing and "sign language" for the DHH. In this exhibit, you'll see a machine that can automatically interpret American Sign Language and display it on a screen.
