Alumni Accounts

After graduation, you be notified by e-mail that your student RIT Computer Account will become an Alumni account. Alumni accounts do not have access to all campus services and must be renewed annually.

Connect to RIT's Guest Wireless
  1. Connect your device to 'RIT-Guest'
  2. Open your web browser on your device
  3. Enter your 10 digit mobile phone number *
  4. Click on “I agree to RIT Terms”
  5. You will receive a text message with a PIN # on your mobile phone
  6. Enter your 4 digit pin on the web portal and tap "Validate Pin"
  7. You will be connected to the RIT Wireless Network
  8. After 24 hours, you will have to re-agree to RIT’s Terms

Alumni Accounts

Transitioning from Student to Alumni Computer Accounts

After graduation, you will receive an email alerting you that your RIT computer account will change from a Student account to an Alumni account. Your username and password will remain the same!
 

Alumni Account Access

Alumni Accounts will be able to log in to:

  • G-mail and Google Apps
  • RIT Wifi Network
  • Library Services
  • Career Connect (powered by Symplicity)
  • Alumni Network
  • myCourses
  • Office 365 Online (access to downloaded Office apps is removed once you've graduated)

You will not be able to access my.rit.edu, and some other campus services.

 

Keeping Your Account Active

You must manually renew your Alumni Account every year. You will receive an e-mail notification before your account expires. This e-mail will provide you with instructions on how to renew your account using start.rit.edu.

Accounts that are not renewed by the annual deadline will expire and be permanently deleted after 6 months.

 

New Alumni Accounts

To activate your alumni account you will need to have a valid e-mail address on file with the Alumni Relations office.

This e-mail address to send you an activiation key to create your alumni account. You may submit this e-mail address to generate the activation key and e-mail at start.rit.edu.
