Getting Started: Students
Alumni Accounts
After graduation, you be notified by e-mail that your student RIT Computer Account will become an Alumni account. Alumni accounts do not have access to all campus services and must be renewed annually.
ITS New Student Guide
ITS ResNet provides help to new students on and off campus to set-up their personal computers and RIT network connectivity. ResNet stands for Residential Networking and is a part of on-campus ITS organization.
Using start.rit.edu
start.rit.edu puts you in charge of your online identity at RIT. Manage your RIT Computer Account, passwords, e-mail/directory preferences, and more.
Using Google Apps at RIT
All student’s email accounts are hosted by Google. Students can access their email and other Google Apps at google.rit.edu using their RIT username and password for signing in.
Connecting Game Consoles & Devices
Most game consoles do not support WPA or WPA2 with enterprise encryption. Because of this, devices will need to be manually registered on start.rit.edu.
