Project Management Office
The Project Management Office (PMO) is part of the Information & Technology Services (ITS) department. We work collaboratively with members of the campus community to provide tangible, repeatable, long-term benefits to the campus community.
In collaboration with organizations across campus, we aid them with achieving their strategic goals, key initiatives and operational IT activities. Team members lead, facilitate, and support change across the University, understanding the overall impact of ITS work on the RIT community. We ensure ITS resources execute the “right” work and that the intended outcomes of that work are achieved. We do this in a customer-oriented manner that includes a holistic view of all ITS work efforts.
We provide standardized tools, techniques, and best practices for managing all types of projects. Our staff have a variety of skills to ensure that projects are successful and processes repeatable. These skills include business analysis, process analysis and improvement, project management, program management and contract renewal analysis. We also coach / mentor others in several of these skill sets.
