UC4 Job Scheduling Services: Change Management

Change Management

  • Test Environment Change requests must be submitted via pcr.rit.edu at least 24 hours in advance. Please plan accordingly. If you feel you have an exception, please contact the ITS TSS Data Center Operations Team. Final decision will be made by the ITS Asst. Director, DCO.
  • Production Environment Change requests must be submitted via pcr.rit.edu at least 24 hours in advance. Please plan accordingly. If you feel you have an exception to the 24 hour requirement or are outside the change management schedule service hours, escalation to ITS Asst. Director, DCO is required. Assistant CIO(s) or CIO may be engaged to determine viability of exception.
  • Job scheduling service requests for changes to a job schedule or parameters must be submitted via the scheduling request form and will be performed within the service window. Any scheduling exception will need a signed and completed UC4 Job Scheduling service exception form.

    Monitoring and Production Support Schedule: Sunday 11:00 p.m. - Saturday 7:00 a.m.
     No test changes Friday 12:00 p.m. (Noon) - until Monday 9:00 a.m. No production changes Friday 12:00 p.m. (Noon) - until Monday 9:00 a.m. No job monitoring or support from Saturday 7:00 a.m. - Sunday 11:00 p.m. or on Institute holidays.

    Important Notes:

    1. Email notification is available upon request. Requestor must specify in the job scheduling request form the contact email that the notification will be sent to. Requestor will also need to specify what conditions will warrant an email notification in the form.

    2. Test Environment Change requests must be submitted via pcr.rit.edu at least 24 hours in advance. Please plan accordingly. If you feel you have an exception, please contact the ITS TSS Data Center Operations Team. Final decision will be made by the ITS Asst. Director, DCO.

    3. Production Environment Change requests must be submitted via pcr.rit.edu at least 24 hours in advance. Please plan accordingly. If you feel you have an exception to the 24 hour requirement or are outside the change management schedule service hours, escalation to Asst. Director is required. Assistant CIO(s) may be engaged to determine viability of exception.

    4. DCO Operations reserves the right to test a schedule in the test system which could modify test data. If a test is necessary, DCO Operations will notify the requestor. The test schedule will be removed after completion.

    5. Job scheduling service requests for changes to a job schedule or parameters must be submitted via the request form and will be performed within the service window. Any exception will need a signed and completed UC4 Job Scheduling service exception form.
