During the 2015 Annual Meeting of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, three students under the direction of Dr. Blanca Lapizco-Encinas of the Microscale BioSeparations (MBS) Laboratory were award recipients.
Alexandra Lalonde (5th year BME) was awarded first place at the undergraduate separations poster competition.
Maria Romero-Creel (4th year BME) was awarded second place at the undergraduate separations poster competition.
Mario Saucedo-Espinosa (PhD student) was awarded first place at the AES Electrophoresis Society poster competition.
The MBS Laboratory presented a total of eight papers during the conference. “These projects have been funded by the National Science Foundation (Award CBET-1336160).”
