We will be working with Michaela, a younger dog that is a quadrilateral amputee. Michaele was abused as a puppy and lost parts of all four of her legs, as well as parts of her nose and ears. Although she is trying her best to be open and trusting, the abuse she suffered has made her very wary of men. Despite this, she is full of life and desperately wants to walk and move around, making her a good recipient for prosthetic devices. Our goal is to create four devices for her that will allow her to stand and move around, while maintaining comfort and safety. This will not be an easy task and allowing her to maintain her balance will be of utmost importance.
