Jade Myers, one of BioPrint’s first collaborators, has presented students with the opportunity to take part in RIT’s legacy of prosthetics. First developed in 2014, the RIT ARM has become a popular design for trans-radial and trans-humeral amputees. With the legacy of the device, a new effort has been put forth to revitalize the design with a greater degree of freedom and new look. Students in BioPrint and a class taught by Jade, will have the opportunity to tackle individual components that make up the arm.
