Shanchieh Jay Yang
Professor Shanchieh Jay Yang received his B.S. in Computer Engineering from the National Chiao-Tung University at Hsin-Chu, Taiwan and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. He is currently an Associate Professor and the Head of the Department of Computer Engineering. He is a Co-Director of the Networking and Information Processing (NetIP) Laboratory at RIT, and an active member of the multi-university Center for Multisource Information Fusion (CMIF) based in western New York. His research expertise spans over-network modeling, information fusion, machine learning, and social network analysis. His current research focuses on cyber situation awareness, attack behavior modeling in untrustworthy environments, and autonomous threat and influence recognition in distributed networks. Dr. Yang is leading the RESIST research group at RIT to create cross-disciplinary collaborative research on Resilient, Secure and Reliable systems, networks and computation methods.
