Intro to Quality Tools & Corrective Action Plans

Is your organization a supplier to large manufacturing customers? Are you subjected to supplier audits? Do your customers require conformance to their quality systems? This workshop is designed for small manufacturers that do not have a formal quality system or have a basic quality system that doesn’t conform or meet requirements of large customers

Who should attend? Anyone involved with quality or production in small manufacturing organizations or have responsibility for sales or revenue including financial, sales, operations and marketing personnel.

Introduction to DMAIC Process, Control Charts and Statistical Quality Control

  • Understanding the Application of Control Charts
  • Definition of Common Causes of Variation
  • Definition of Special Causes of Variation
  • Understanding use of Control Charts in Statistical Process Control

Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Planning

  • Problem Identification – sorting out the real problem from the symptoms
  • Idea generation – determining possible causes of the problem (root cause analysis)
  • Collecting and analyzing relevant and valid data to verify cause
  • Solution development – selecting the best course of action
  • Plan implementation – putting the selected course of action into effect
