The pace of change will only accelerate as we move into the age of the “Internet of Things”, intelligently communicating with us and each other. Employment opportunities abound as Microelectronic Engineers in the semiconductor industry will develop and manufacture the successive generations of new integrated circuits, solar cells, light emitting devices, displays, sensors, memory blocks and microprocessors. Our program has more undergraduate cleanroom lab time and experience with modern fabrication equipment than any other program in the country. Our equipment is for teaching first and research second.
