Phone: 585-475-7028
Office: GLE/2505

Kathy brings a rich array of life experiences to the position of Director.  After graduating from a women’s college where she learned first-hand the value of a female-centric support network, Kathy made her way to Silicon Valley.  There she studied CMOS Mask Layout Design which eventually led her to a position in IT for a semiconductor IP start-up.  Fast forward through coast-to-coast moves to Boston, San Diego and finally Rochester, Kathy spent the better part of the past decade in the fitness industry while raising her daughter, wearing every hat from personal trainer and cycling instructor to owner and director of Cycledelic Indoor Cycling Studio.  Kathy is a well-respected and credentialed indoor cycling instructor with a focus on training outdoor riders indoors.  Kathy brings to this position the life experience of an entrepreneur along with the heart of a mother whose own daughter envisions an engineering career for herself.  In her spare time Kathy enjoys cycling indoors and out, and is involved with charity rides including Bike MS, for which she serves on the Planning Task Force.  When she’s not in the WE@RIT offices or on a bike, Kathy enjoys spending time with daughter and future engineer Hannah, husband and electrical engineer Matt and turtle Juanito Turburble.
