Opening day talks stress growth, mission
Still under balmy summer skies, the RIT community celebrated the opening of academic year 2001-02 with the President’s Community Address on Sept. 5 in Clark Gymnasium. With introductions by Stanley McKenzie, provost and vice president for academic affairs, the event included talks by Academic Senate chair Joyce Hertzson, Staff Council chair Dave Edborg, Commission for Promoting Pluralism chair Alfreda Brown, and President Albert Simone.
