RIT Visitor Policy due to the Coronavirus

Visitors who are directly connected to business continuity purposes (e.g. suppliers, vendors, etc.) are allowed to enter buildings and engage with the RIT community only with an advance appointment. Others who wish to use outdoor recreational spaces (e.g. track, pathways in and around campus) are allowed to visit if only they abide by social distancing standards.

All visitors to campus are subject to the same guidelines as the campus community: If you have a fever or feel ill, you will not be allowed on campus. If you are expecting visitors, please remind them to review carefully and follow travel guidance as outlined at www.rit.edu/coronavirus and to take precautions for their well-being and safety.  All packages received should be left to sit for 72 hours if possible. If not, they should be wiped down with disinfectant before opening.

All persons who have been in CDC level 3 designated areas or who have had direct contact with an ill or COVID-19 diagnosed person within the past 14 days are not allowed to visit campus.  If your college, division, or department is hosting visitors connected to business continuity on campus, you must inform them of this policy prior to their visit.

University residential areas are closed to all individuals except students who have been approved to remain in RIT housing.  Students and their parents may visit campus to move out of University housing. Students residing in a University residential area who have been approved to stay are not permitted to host visitors. Students who have received approved exceptions to remain must abide by CDC recommendations for group size, and are strongly encouraged to practice appropriate social distancing when interacting with other students in RIT housing.
