Author of ‘Pathways to a Hydrogen Future’ Speaks at RIT

Thomas Drennen will present seminar on building a hydrogen economy

Tired of paying nearly $4 per gallon for gasoline? Hydrogen fuel may be the answer. Thomas Drennen, author of Pathways to a Hydrogen Future, believes the plentiful and clean burning gas is a central alternative to fossil fuels and a major energy and economic driver.

Drennen, who is a senior economist for Sandia National Labs, will discuss the development of hydrogen as an energy and economic engine during a seminar to be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 4, at Rochester Institute of Technology. The talk will include a discussion of economic and environmental trade-offs related to hydrogen production, storage and transport, and Drennen’s roadmap for the development of a sustainable hydrogen economy by 2020.
