Rochester Institute of Technology is recognized by SuperScholar in the Smart Choice ranking of online MBA degree programs for 2012.

The Online Executive MBA program offered by the E. Philip Saunders College of Business was awarded the No. 15 position. The ranking was designed as a tool to help prospective business students make a smart choice about where to invest their time and money in earning their MBA.

“Students have lots of choices when it comes to online MBA programs, so it’s gratifying to see this broader recognition of our program,” says Marty Lawlor, director of the Online EMBA Program at RIT. “That being said, we remain focused in two areas: finding curious and experienced professionals willing to work hard to improve themselves and helping faculty deliver a rigorous and engaging program in an intimate online learning environment. The technology is the least of it.

“Patterned on our 20-year-old residential Executive MBA program, students experience small group collaboration, weekly engagement with faculty and peers, international projects and a final 24-week applied client capstone project.”

The Saunders College was ranked among other listed universities such as Washington State University, University of Florida, Indiana University, The George Washington University, Drexel University and Northeastern University.

According to SuperScholar, a trusted source for online education, MBA programs were selected and ranked according to their market reputation, recognition and awards, selectivity, accreditation and cost. Only Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business and regionally accredited programs were considered.
