RIT honors outstanding professors of the year

The Celebration of Teaching and Scholarship, which honors the recipients of the annual Eisenhart Awards, is set for Tuesday, April 17. The awards recognize members of the RIT community “who contribute significantly to student learning and academic scholarship.” This year’s recipients come from four different RIT colleges:

  • Steven Ciccarelli, associate professor in the College of Applied Science and Technology, is a recipient of the 2018 Eisenhart Award for Outstanding Teaching.
  • Alex Lobos, associate professor in the College of Imaging Arts and Sciences, is a recipient of the 2018 Eisenhart Award for Outstanding Teaching.
  • Nathaniel Barlow, assistant professor in the College of Science, is the recipient of two awards, Richard and Virginia Eisenhart Provost’s Award for Excellence in Teaching and the Innovative Teaching with Technology Award.
  • Philip Gelsomino, visiting lecturer in Saunders College of Business, is the recipient of the 2018 Outstanding Teaching Award for Non-Tenure Track Faculty.
