Air Force ROTC holds blood drive March 6
Campus team sponsors event to recognize and support March as Red Cross Month
RIT’s Air Force ROTC Detachment 538 and the Greater Rochester chapter of the Red Cross are sponsoring the 2017 annual blood drive from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, March 6, in the Reception Room of the university’s Gordon Field House and Activities Center.
In past years, donations through the event have surpassed target goals and supported the Red Cross’ efforts to ensure that the local blood supply is available to be shipped to hospitals 24/7.
Participants have several options to schedule an appointment for that day including:
- Contacting the Red Cross directly by phone at 1-800-733-2767,
- Connecting online at the Red Cross Donation web page. Enter ritstudentrochester to schedule an appointment.
The Red Cross also recommends completing some of the preliminary reading and health history questions online at the Red Cross RapidPass webpage.

Students from RIT’s global campuses will be making the trek to the U.S. for this year’s Imagine RIT: Creativity and Innovation Festival.
