Industrial design MFA alumnus Pete St. John led the creation of two elements of The Strong National Museum of Play’s permanent exhibition “ESL Digital Worlds: Level Up.” This exhibit immerses visitors in an array of interactive video game environments.

The inaugural production in the newest building on the RIT campus, AstroDance II: Across the Universe, premiered Dec. 1 to 3 and featured a variety of dance, aerial and circus arts, and augmented reality. 

Students enrolled in an Opinion Media course flexed their creative muscles and persuasive writing skills by producing a new publication about gun violence printed with ink made from an assault rifle.

A history class dug into the RIT Archives to sample the cutting-edge domestic science curriculum taught in 1893 at the Mechanics Institute, a forerunner to RIT.

For six years—even amidst the global pandemic—the RIT community kept busy brainstorming, conceptualizing, designing, problem solving, collaborating, and building a new place where ideas, creativity, and innovation can come to life. We are transforming RIT by building places and spaces for thinkers, creators, and makers unlike any other university in the nation.

Raviteja Rudra is a vegetarian from India. Marcela Gallo, a Peruvian-American, finds great delight in ceviche. Their paths crossed 10 years ago while attending RIT, and their lives changed forever.

An advertising campaign showcasing RIT’s creativity and innovation as a leading university took over Grand Central Terminal and Station, and even some rail cars traveling to Westchester County and Connecticut.

Twelve RIT alumni have been honored with Distinguished Alumni Awards for the 2023-2024 year. The Distinguished Alumni Awards are presented annually by each of RIT’s nine colleges, the School of Individualized Study, and the RIT Graduate School to alumni who have performed at the highest levels of their profession or who have contributed to the advancement and leadership of civic, philanthropic, or service organizations.
