Are you an associate professor, lecturer, or senior lecturer planning to pursue promotion? Beginning this year, Faculty Career Development (FCD) coordinates these workshops for all full-time faculty. The series includes three workshops: Strategies for Presenting a Strong Case Workshop: A Discussion with the Provost, University & College Promotion Policies, and Preparing Your External Letters and Research Statements. Let’s Talk Money – Session Recap

All full-time faculty members were invited to attend an interactive workshop titled “Let’s Talk Money: Understanding RIT Pay Practices” where participants were shown salary-related resources available today and explored how to shape future thinking and discussions regarding salary. This was a hands-on, 90-minute session where participants ideally understood RIT’s compensation philosophy and salary practices (such as factors affecting faculty salary, compa-ratio/position to market, and moving pay to market).
