Hello, and welcome Tigers! Being a student in higher education brings a wide range of challenges and stresses, on the top of life itself. You are not alone. We are here to support you!

Counseling can offer guidance, insight, and tools to nurture your growth and resiliency. As a therapist, my main goal is to provide support in a way that works for you. I usually use a person-centered and trauma-informed approach, also providing a flowing presence and making the space as non-judgmental as possible. Although I am trained in several evidence-based treatment approaches, I am more focused on providing supports that fit your strengths, needs, and preferences. In sessions, we may process situations, discuss feelings and thoughts, develop awareness and skills, and/or problem-solve.

I am a white deaf sighted cisgender female, and identify as a part of LGBTQ+ community. I am one of the two counselors for NTID students. I am a licensed clinical social worker, with BSSW from RIT and MSW from Gallaudet University. I worked in several mental health settings for ten years before coming to work here in 2020. My learning and working experiences are mainly focused on, but not limited to, trauma, depression, and anxiety. I love learning, and am open to feedback.

I love board games, thoughtful conversations, walking, fall foliage, skiing/snowshoeing, and traveling.
