Incremental Analysis in Engineering Economics

Both the textbooks and the pedagogy used in the teaching of Engineering Economics are redundant, time consuming and offer little to enhance the understanding of the basic principles involved. I am appalled by this lack of understanding that I have observed in both teachers and their students. A new approach to the content of the texts and of the pedagogy is long overdue. It is time to examine both the texts and the pedagogy, assess their efficacy and offer alternatives to enhance the understanding of educators, students and practitioners. My intention here is to provide my assessment of the current situation and to offer alternatives to correct the deficiencies I have uncovered.
