Raising Stars

Parents of deaf or hard-of-hearing students are invited to attend a FREE workshop that will provide helpful step-by-step planning tips students can follow through middle school and high school to successfully prepare them for college. The workshops, sponsored by Rochester Institute of Technology’s National Technical Institute for the Deaf, are scheduled in Alabama, and the dates and times for each location are listed below.

  • Identifying the right high school curriculum for college-bound students
  • Meeting the English literacy requirement for college admission
  • Preparing for standardized admissions testing (PSAT, SAT, ACT)
  • Starting the college search process
  • Financing a college education
  • Learn about how your child can qualify for free travel/program fee to RIT/NTID’s summer programs
