KEPAD Cultural Exchange Visit to CSB

From March 26 to April 1, five students and two faculty members from the Korea Employment Promotion Agency for the Disabled (KEPAD) visited DeLaSalle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) in Manila, Philippines.

The goal of the cultural exchange was to:
  1. Give students an opportunity to explore different cultures and strengthen their identity,
  2. Foster self-confidence and elevate the motivation of students,
  3. Build a closer relationship between DLS-CSB and KEPAD,
  4. Exchange information and share experiences in order to improve deaf education in each country.

During the visit, members of the KEPAD delegation held a multimedia presentation of Korean culture; ith CSB students returning the favor with their own presentation of Filipino culture, followed by traditional dancing. The KEPAD delegation also had the opportunity to visit the Philippine Federation of the Deaf (PFD) office, and held a forum with DLS-CSB faculty to exchange information on Deaf education.
