From February 9-12, 2009, 13 students, three faculty members, and two interpreters from the Korea Nazarene University(KNU) visited DeLaSalle-College of Saint Benilde(DLS-CSB) in Manila, Philippines.

The goal of the cultural exchange was to:
  1. Give students an opportunity to explore different cultures and strengthen their identity
  2. Foster self-confidence and elevate the motivation of students
  3. Build a closer relationship between DLS-CSB and KNU
  4. Exchange information and share experiences in order to improve deaf education in each country.

During the visit, members of the KNU delegation attended cultural events and participated in student interactions and faculty discussions regarding deaf education and culture. At the end of the four-day event, there was an exhibit of student artwork from both universities.
