Dedication of the PEN-International Multimedia Lab at Tianjin University of Technology
On 3 October 2001, the PEN-International Multimedia Lab was officially dedicated at Tianjin Technical College for the Deaf of Tianjin University of Technology. Mr. S. Ohno, director of international affairs for The Nippon Foundation was an honored guest at the dedication ceremonies. Also in attendance at the ceremonies was the vice chair for the National Federation for the Disabled of the People's Republic of China, Ms. W Yang, and the director of the Tianjin Education Committee, Mr. J. Ma. The highlight of the opening ceremonies was a class of students utilizing the lab as part of their information technology program of study.
