On 1 and 2 August 2002, PEN-International Director DeCaro and PEN-International Coordinator Clymer visited The Nippon Foundation headquarters in Tokyo where they presented a mid-year program update to Mr. Ohno, Mr. Ishii and Ms. Okawara. In addition, discussions were held with Ms. Shiomi of the Nippon Taiko Foundation regarding a deaf and hearing taiko drum troupe participating in the International Instructional Technology Symposium that will be held at NTID in June 2003.
