Vice Premiere of Russia Visits Bauman PEN Lab
On 2 December 2003, the Vice Premiere of the Russian Federation, Ms. Galina Karelova, visited the Bauman Center for the Deaf. The purpose of the visit was to acquaint her with the activities of the Center and introduce her to the PEN-International Multimedia Lab at Bauman.
A. Stanevsky and O. Oreshkina presented the lab as one PEN-International outcome and as the hub of PEN-Russia. Ms. Karelova had the opportunity to meet deaf students at the Multimedia Lab.
The visit was covered on Moscow TV-1 (4 December) and also covered by Komsomolskaya Pravda Newspaper.
