On 27-29 September, a delegation from Tianjin University of Technology visited PEN-International and the colleges of RIT. The purpose of the visit was two-fold: first, to present the deans with an introduction to how deaf students are mainstreamed at RIT and the implications of this for TUT, and second, to introduce the deans to the colleges of RIT. Through PEN-International, significant interest has developed across RIT and within TUT for partnerships that go beyond PEN-International. As a result, officials of both universities are now engaged in discussions regarding inter-university partnerships. As a follow-up to this visit, a delegation from RIT, led by Provost McKenzie, visited TUT (7 to 13 October).
