On 10 October, Drs. DeCaro and Hurwitz and Professor Clymer visited with Eiichi Takada and the National Center of Sign Language Education of Japan. Takada san is the Executive Director of the Center. The Center, which is located in Kyoto, provides extensive facilities and programming for the advancement of Japanese Sign Language and for promotion of its use in Japan. Further, the Center operates a hotel and a restaurant for the purpose of generating funding to support the work of the center.
