At the invitation of Director Ronald A. Tschetter of the Peace Corps, Dr. Alan Hurwitz and his Executive Assistant, Donald Beil, visited Peace Corps Headquarters in Washington, DC with PEN-International Director DeCaro. Discussions centered upon how NTID and its PEN-International Program might collaborate with the Peace Corps…particularly in Africa. Following the meeting, DeCaro met with the regional director for Africa, Mr. Henry McKoy to discuss how PEN-International might collaborate with his office to address postsecondary education in a selected country or countries in Africa. Several possibilities were discussed and DeCaro and McKoy determined that they would cooperate to address this issue.
