PEN partners at The National-Tsukuba University of Technology (N-TUT) in Tsukuba Japan, used videoconference technology to join PEN partners at Bauman Moscow State Technical University (BMSTU), Moscow, Russia to particpate in a conference sponsored by the Institute on Information Technologies in Education (IITE) of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The objective of the meeting was to discuss the development, education and social integration, and health of deaf individuals.
