On 15 September 2009, PEN-International, Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled (KEAD), and Korea Nazarene University (KNU) officially joined together to form the network PEN-Korea. PEN-Korea's charge is to improve the post-secondary education of deaf students across Korea, improve access to professional education and support offered to deaf people in educational settings, and develop resources and best practices and improve expertise for enhancing educational opportunities for deaf people in Korea.
