My introduction
How do you do? My name is Yuji Sato. I was born in Gumma. Gumma is quiet and the country. It is the home to love for me. I grew up in a school for the deaf. Now I am studying information science at Tsukuba College of Technology. I major in Information and study programming at the college. Information science is pleasant for me. Because I have great interest in Information. My hobbies are travel, sports, drive, and meeting new people. I travel once a year. It was particularly good at Mikura Island, because I met groups of dolphins in the Island. I swam with the dolphins and was impressed. My favorite sports are baseball, snowboarding, soccer, scuba diving and skiing. I go skiing 5 times every year. I began the snowboard this year. I like snowboard better than ski. I want to get the license of scuba diving, because I want to meet various tropical fish.
The big reason why I participated in the project had five purposes. The 1st is that I have been very interested in international culture since I was young. Moreover it is also one of the hobbies to search for the information of various countries. The 2rd is that there is no planned exchange of three countries with Japan, China, and the United States in the future. So I considered that the project was a lifetime chance. I wanted to participate absolutely. The 3rd is that I had a dream to go into a university in the United States since I was young. I have not given up my dream and want to approach by a unit of one step. I wanted to know the university atmosphere in the United States. And I wanted to know how much my ASL will be accepted. The 4th is that the country in the United States is a country of yearning for me. So I wanted to know about the United States style and life. The 5th is that I have finally come to Niagara, which I wished so much to see. I thought that it is unimpressive only by watching books and television. I had a question about why Niagara is one of the tourist resorts. Therefore, I wanted to appreciate it in reality.
I want to announce what became the best. I want to also report the results with the point and the purpose.
The park in Rochester (Genesee Valley Park)[May 5, 2002]
We have no particular plan for the morning. I did not want to spend all our time@doing nothing. I did not want to make useless time during the United States stay. Therefore, we went to Genesee Valley Park. I thought that Rochester was a natural and quiet town. Because there were no buildings and only forests. The squirrel and the beautiful bird existed in Genesee Valley Park. There were also squirrels moving in the road. The squirrel was dear and I became about crazy it.
Peter Pan's play[May 5, 2002]
It is said that Peter Pan was a famous theatrical company, so they announced it the newspaper. I heard it and the hope was overflowing. I had many portions which were not able to read ASL since my understanding of ASL was not perfect. But I can't give up. The is direction's power and charm was pulled. So I fell for Peter Pan's play. I had especially good feelings.
Presentations[May 6, 2002]
The day came at last. This was big work before we went to the United States. It prepared by sparing slight time. Since it was not completely ready, we were afraid of being greatly. I announced about TCT's information guarantee. I was very glad as everybody got interested. I think that I am the result of blood and sweat. I thought that the rest became comforting also. TUT presented the China-dance. The body of TUT was soft and looked beautiful. It was a dance of Chinese type.NTID presented the play of a haiku poem. They were full of expression. So I admired it. Expression was favor able, and I was able to taste fun. I was able to know the feature of each country. It was significant a time.
School inspection (NTID/RIT)[From May 6, 2002 to May 8, 2002]
NTID and RIT are so large that it can't be compared with TCT. There were also many students. I was surprised. There were not only Americans. It was the school which gathers people from various countries. I thought that it was easy to exchange information of various countries. I thought that I wanted to be put into the university. But it is not easy. We inspected each subject. I was impressed by the design subject. Appeal power was fearful. I am studying Information. But I have only a vague impression of the information subject. Because I did not understand at all what they are studying. I think that it is regrettable. We inspected the dormitory. The building of the dormitory was splendid. The room was also splendid and I thought that it was clean. I thought strongly that it was treated carefully. I thought that I wanted you to carry out cleanliness of the TCT's dormitory. I was surprised. It had billiards, a post office, and a convenience store in the dormitory. TCT is an environment where such a thing does not have and we study. I think that the day with a school does not have time to play billiards. I thought that there was such margin time. There was a button for reporting and surveillance camera in the dormitory. Equipment is assembled truly and I admired it.
ADC party[May 10, 2002]
This is not only Americans. We interchanged with the Asia ancestry. The Asia ancestry was born in Asia and moved to the United States. We presented a dance. It had few opportunities to dance together with everybody. Uneasiness had grown intense truly. I was able to dance happily. But they said that the rhythm did not suit everybody. Since it was received, I was satisfied. I challenged ASL. Telling ASL was completed somehow. But it was difficult to read ASL. It was very early and my head got confused. It looked just like fast-forward. It turns out that the power to read is required. I became a good experience. I want to challenge this time, when talking. I am burning with the desire to learn. I have gotten interested in ASL. Since the party was the last, it was getting to full swing. I exchanged addresses with various people. I want to have friendship relation for a long time.
Niagara Falls[May 11, 2002]
The long-awaited Niagara has come. I expected much from it. Then, I did not cool down. When Niagara was seen at last, my heart was too full to say a word. I had been looking for Niagara. It was a powerful and beautiful scene. The real Niagara is really impressive and quite exciting. I could hear the Niagara. Sound was a pleasant sensation, and I felt refreshed. The charm of Niagara was known. But we watched only half of the Canadian Falls. I was not able to do a little satisfaction. I want to go to see again.
Watch baseball games[May 11, 2002]
I like baseball very much. I was attracted by the Major Leagues. However, it was the team which I have not heard. It was the minor leagues. It was disappointed a little. I wanted to see baseball games in the United States once. I enjoyed with whether there is Taguchi or not and it was carrying out. However, since Taguchi was not on the team, there was absent. I looked at some splendid plays. I came to study about the United States baseball. I was able to enjoy the last night.

There was no rice. So I got a bit weary of the same type of food. I missed Japanese food, especially rice. I love Japanese food. I could understand American style.
Finally, I participated this project, and I had obtained many things. It was a really good experience. It will become the memory which will not be forgotten in a lifetime for me. Since it was adopted as me, I want to make it gratitude truly. Moreover, if there is another plan, I wish surely to participate in it. Therefore, I wish to polish ASL more.
