Charles University Creates Interactive English Program for Deaf Students
gold separator bar

Charles University developed and introduced an interactive English Language Teaching program designed to teach reading and writing skills to deaf and hard-of-hearing and vision-impaired students. This hybrid program stimulates both sight and hearing simultaneously and was designed so that students can follow a written text on a computer screen and/or listen to an audio recording narrated in both British and American voice. Comparing the differences in pronunciation is a benefit to the vision-impaired students, and deaf and hard-of-hearing students benefit from the high quality graphics that mix pictures and text to stimulate creativity.
