PEN-International director, James J. DeCaro, reviewed a pre-publication galley proof of "Talking Hands"...a book soon to be published by Simon & Schuster (2007). The book is written by Magalit Fox, a staff writer from the New York Times.

DeCaro has commented as follows as regards the book, "Ms. Fox has done a masterful job of utilizing her journalistic competence and sensibilities as regards the Bedouin Signing Village she visited with four renowned linguists studying the development of an indigenous sign language in the village.
