Dr. Rico Peterson and Wayne Kip Webster conducted a PEN-International workshop at the College of St. Benilde in Manila, Philippines, 2-6 March 2009. This five-day workshop brought together more than 20 hearing and deaf faculty in a series of workshops on Establishing an Educational Interpreter Training Program and Coordinating Interpreting Services. Dr. Peterson conducted workshops in Curriculum and Program Development that focused on standard principles in assessment. Participants studied assessment as the core value in integrating program and curriculum delivery. Webster conducted workshops on Interpreter Service Provision, History, and Ergonomics. A highlight for the participants was the one-on-one individual counseling offered by Webster on Cumulative Trauma Disorder.
