From 28 October - 5 November 2005, a delegation of six members of the Korea Promotion Employment Agency for the Disabled and one member of KTF (Korea Telecom) visited the National Technical Institute for the Deaf in Rochester, New York, U.S.A. for a specialized weeklong training session regarding automation technology and serving students who are deaf.

The members of the delegation included:

• Hae Jun Park, Electronic field training teacher
• Joong O Yoon, Mechnical field training teacher
• Bum Gyu Kim, Policy field
• Jiyoung Shim, Program/System Coordinator
• Hea Eun Choi, Translater
• Suerynn Roh, Manager, KTF Co, Ltd.

During the week, the delegation attended myriad presentations by NTID faculty members, staff members and alumni.

The delegation is now developing an action plan for KEPAD…part of the plan will include recommendations as regards follow-up training that should occur in Korea.
