A five-member delegation from Korea was in Rochester, NY, from 15 - 20 June 2006 to participate in training regarding programs and services at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf that address student development, counseling skills, and social and personal skills development.

The delegation consisted of four staff from the Korean Employment Promotion Agency for the Disabled; Choi Hea Eun, Coordinator and Translator; Kwon Hee Jung, Counselor; Kim Bum Gyu, staff; Ahn Tai Hee, Researcher , and You Hyunbea, a faculty member from Korea Nazarene University.

Speakers from various departments across NTID/RIT provided workshops and seminars for the delegation:

  • John Macko and Kathy Dollinger-Meyer, Center on Employment;
  • Aimee Solomon, Psychological Services;
  • Robb Adams, Bill Moore and Carl Moore, Counseling Services;
  • Regina Kiperman Kiselgof, Northeast Technical Assistance Center;
  • Susan Foster and Gary Long, Project Access; and,
  • Alim Chandani, Student Life Team.

The Korean Employment Promotion Agency for the Disabled is one of the newest affiliates of PEN-International.
