Delegation from Hungary Participates in Seminars at NTID

From 15 to 21 December, a delegation of experts from Hungary participated in seminars and workshops pertaining to provision of notetaking and real-time captioning to students in mainstreamed postsecondary education programs.

  • Balázs HORVÁTH, Disabilities Coordinator, University of Medicine;
  • Krisztina KOVÁCS, Disabilities Department Head, University of Budapest;
  • Gábor PRÓSZeKY, IT Professional, Pazmany Peter University;
  • Márta SZOMOLÁNYI, Faculty Member, Intermediate Level;
  • Nóra UNGÁR, Coordinator, Sign Language Services, Equal Opportunities of Persons with Disabilities, Hungarian Sign Language Programme Office

Topics included on-line notetaker training, tablet computers and new technologies in notetaking services, C-Print services and options in captioning to name a few.

The delegation is now in the process of developing future plans for collaboration with PEN.
