Bruce Austin is RIT Press’s Director. His academic training is in mediated communication. Before coming to the Press, he was Professor and Chair of the Department (now School) of Communication for 15 years. His writing ranges from scholarly research on the audiences for theatrical motion pictures to journalistic reporting on antiques for a number of periodicals.
Marnie Soom is RIT Press’s Design and Marketing Specialist, a position she has held since 2005. In addition to designing four to six printed books annually, she manages the Press’s social media and oversees ebook file production. Marnie has a BFA in Graphic Design and an MS in Print Media, both from RIT.

Alexandra Hoff is Managing Editor at RIT Press. She oversees the Press’s editorial operations and manages the publication process from manuscript proposal through publication. Alexandra earned a BA in English/Professional Writing and African American Studies from Purdue University and has previously served as Senior Editor at University of New Mexico Press, Assistant Production Editor at Purdue University Press, Part-Time Head of the West Lafayette History and Research Center in Indiana, and Business Writing Consultant for the Purdue Writing Lab.
