We have seen a slight uptick in individual COVID-19 cases, which correlates with the upward trend of COVID in campus wastewater, our early surveillance program. This trend indicates the need for continued vigilance on campus. Continue to wear your mask, watch your distance, and wash your hands. The RIT COVID Alert Level remains at Yellow.
While RIT strongly encourages all to receive the COVID-19 vaccination, the university is not requiring immunization at this time. Even after you have received the vaccine, you will be expected to adhere to all aspects of the RIT safety plan, including wearing a mask and watching your distance.
RIT consultants assisted a regional lab facility with its process improvement planning to increase COVID-19 test capacity. Then the consultants shared the process with industrial and systems engineering students during a graduate seminar.
