RIT has implemented policies and procedures for the use of on-campus laboratory-based research activities.
Safety protocols are in place for all laboratory facilities at the university that include:
- Flexible scheduling for recognized personnel to generally limit occupancy
- Recommended guidelines for visitors/collaborators
- Access procedures using QR codes for contact tracing
- Detailed cleaning and sanitizing practices
Lab managers have implemented a site checklist to regularly certify that the areas to be used are deemed safe for day-to-day operations.
